Installation: Pretty straight forward with easy to understand labelled diagrams. If confused there are plenty of self help Youtube clips.
Use: Took me a few goes to work out how to activate / deactivate the chip... the process is a little cumbersome. Chipping your eBike is generally associated with stupid speeds, a decrease in social responsibility and random acts of hooliganism, none of which are my kind of thing at almost 57 years of age. What it does provide for me, is the ability to comfortably cruise/commute at 30 km/h in line with most average road bike speeds. When commuting or riding to the trails, constantly hitting that standardised 25 km/h limit is frustrating.
Conclusion: The Speedbox 1.0 B. is a simple to install and operate tuning chip. There are no complicated powering on/off routines and the chip is pretty much undetectable. As long as your common sense is enabled, the Speedbox 1.0 B.tuning is a positive upgrade to your Bosch Gen 4 Smart System eBike.
