All Sur-Rons we sell are genuine Australian stock through the official distributor. This matters more than it sounds.

Grey import Sur-Rons look identical on the outside. The differences show up later. Warranty claims go nowhere. Parts can be harder to source. And grey import units can't access the official Sur-Ron app - no wheelie control, no power mode tuning, no firmware updates.

With Australian stock, warranty is backed by the distributor and we handle the whole process. You don't chase anyone. We sort it out.

Sur-Rons sold through Melbourne Powered come with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty through Sur-Ron Australia, covering key components including the battery, controller, and charger against defects.

If something goes wrong, bring it in and we deal with it. You don't need to contact the distributor or chase anyone - we handle it on your behalf.

Grey import bikes have no Australian warranty coverage. Parts and repairs are entirely on the owner.

Motor output and how it's configured.

Road-legal e-bikes in Australia need to stay under 250W continuous with assist cutting at 25km/h. Most Sur-Rons produce well beyond that - which is what makes them so good off-road - but it also means they're classified as motor vehicles for road purposes.

The Ultra Bee HP is configured and certified to meet Australian road vehicle standards. Everything else is built for performance, not compliance. That's the whole point.
