Our most popular option, Mid Drive Motors are installed through the bottom bracket of your bicycle. Known to produce more torque compared to the other mount systems, Mid Drive Motors are by far the most efficient mouting system to date.
Front Hub Motors are generally easier to fit onto a bike due to the lack of needing to swap over any freehubs or casettes. Whilst generally cheaper, front wheel hubs are also less efficient compared to Rear Hub Motors and Mid Drive motors. Furthermore, Front Hub Motors are not recommended for off-road riding, due to the tendency for the wheel to spin on rough ground, especially when climbing steep hills.
Compared to the pulling action of a Front Hub Motor, Rear Hub Motors incoporates a pushing action into your riding. Rear Hub Motors are also more suited for rough terrain compared to Front Hub Motors, as the rider's weight is concentrated on the rear, thus reducing wheel spin issues. However, Rear Hub Motors fall short when a puncture occurs, as the wheel can be difficult and inconvenient to remove.
Your e-Bike conversion kit can be installed by our on-site mechanics or by yourself (if you're feeling confident!). We recommend that customers have their conversion kits installed by our specialised mechanics.
