Used to be if you wanted to throw drop bars on your off-road rig, you had to fork over your allowance for a new drivetrain and brake levers. We made the Corner Bar so you could conduct all your dirt-drop experiments with your current brake and drivetrain setup. I mean, why spring for the whole buffet when all you want is a salty snack at the bar?

Anyway, we made this one out of Chromoly. We’re also including a set of shims. If you don’t need ‘em, stick ‘em in a drawer for later. You call the shots, Boss.

Surly Corner Bar

The Surly Corner Bar is certainly a great way to add a drop bar to a flat bar bike without the expense of changing your group set.
A really nice design, that is comfortable, well made, super durable and looks cool in that funky Surly way.
It's heavy, but doesn't seem that noticeable when fitted to your bike (unless you ride a super light weight bike). The only negative for me is that it's a bit expensive (Aus $).
Overall a great product for it's intended use with multiple comfortable hand positions.
